The Kelly Story… The Beginning
Kelly is one of the bravest and proudest young women I have the honour of knowing. She taught many she met along her journey that, you take what is handed to you and you do with it all you can. Kelly is my sister-in-law; my youngest brother's wife, my niece's mother; she was diagnosed with inoperable inflammatory carcinoma in November 2002. In May 2003, Kelly underwent a double mastectomy. Unfortunately, on February 20, 2005, Kelly lost her battle. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her courage, strength and faith overwhelmed and touched many along her journey.
Kelly’s diagnosis greatly affected her and our family. I wanted to do something, so I took the required training with various suppliers and manufacturers to become a certified fitter. Since Kelly was the driving force behind my decision, with her blessing, I incorporated Kelly’s Mastectomy Boutique in June 2003.
Since opening the store with complete focus on mastectomy/lumpectomy related products, I have truly enjoyed working with my clients who are the strongest, bravest and most inspiring women I would ever want to meet.
